2017 CAA In-House Baseball

Days of Play 

All days of play are tentative until CAA has final confirmation with the field scheduler

Majors & Rookies Divisions
The commitment for these programs is typically 2-3 nights a week with games or practices roughly 90 minutes in duration.  The season typically starts at the beginning of May and the regular season ends the end of June.  The season is concluded with a year-end tournament that can last 1-1.5 weeks immediately before or after the 4th of July dependent upon the success of the team and the day of the week the 4th of July lands on. 

 

Majors Division 
This is a competitive community league which consists of 10-11-year-old in-house players and potentially, the top evaluated 9-year-old in-house players. The number of 9-year-olds needed is determined after e
valuations are completed.

Rookies Division 
This competitive player pitch league consists of 9-year-olds and the top evaluated 8-year-olds. This is typically the first player pitch league for 9-year-olds. The number of 8-year-olds needed is determined after registrations are received.

Machine Pitch Division - (Ages 7-8)  

This is a league that is designed to allow players to continue to develop the fundamentals of baseball.  This league will use the pitching machine.  The basics of hitting, fielding, and throwing will be emphasized.  The commitment for this program is typically 2 nights a week with games or practices roughly 90 minutes in duration.  The season typically starts at the beginning of May and the regular season ends the end of June.  The season is concluded with a year end tournament that can last 1.5 weeks after the 4th of July dependent upon the success of the team.  Nights of play can not be confirmed nor will they be guaranteed until the Cities of Chanhassen, Carver, & Victoria issue their field permits to CAA.  Typically this happens in March.  The past few years this league has been scheduled to play on Mondays, Wednesdays, and a few Fridays.  We hope and have every intention to keep this same type of schedule.

Coach Pitch -  (Ages 5-6) 
An introduction to baseball in which the players begin to develop the basic skills of the game such as catching, throwing, and hitting.  The league will begin with practices designed to help each player improve.  A coach pitch format will be used.  For players that are not ready for a coach pitch format a Tee will be available.  This program is typically 2 nights a week with games or practices lasting roughly 60-90 min.  Nights of play can not be confirmed nor will they be guaranteed until the Cities of Chanhassen, Carver, & Victoria issue their field permits to CAA.  Typically this happens in March.  The past few years this league has been scheduled to play on Mondays, Wednesdays, and a few Fridays.  We hope and have intention to keep this same type of schedule.

Little League Age
A player's age is determined as of April 30th for each season. For our in-house programs we do allow summer birthdays (May 1st to July 31st) to play with there grade. For in-house, summer birthdays are not required to play with their grade and have the option to register with their grade or league age.

For Tournament Teams players can only register with their league age as of April 30th.
